Determining the effectiveness of laundry detergents can be challenging, as many claim to excel in stain removal and cleaning power. To address this, a thorough testing methodology was employed. Each detergent was evaluated on its ability to remove common stains like body oil, dirt, salad dressing, coffee, chocolate, grass, and blood. Tests were conducted using fabric swatches washed in identical conditions, ensuring an objective assessment of each formula's performance.
The following products stand out as the best performers in our tests:

top seller for tough stains
Persil ProClean Stain Fighter received high marks for its exceptional ability to tackle tough stains, including grass and blood, alongside basic ones like body oil and dirt.

Tide Plus Ultra Stain Release was also a top performer, effectively removing a wide range of stains while maintaining a strong cleaning performance.
While some detergents excelled, others fell short: Arm and Hammer 4 in 1 Power Packs struggled significantly, unable to eliminate basic stains such as grass and dirt. Sun Triple Clean, although priced lower than many competitors, was found to be the worst-performing liquid detergent overall in our tests.
It's crucial to note that major detergent brands often reformulate their products annually. Regular testing ensures that any changes in effectiveness are identified, guaranteeing consumers have access to the most up-to-date performance insights. This attention to detail serves those in pursuit of effective laundry solutions.
